Sierra Buttes Trail Stewardship invites community to disc golf course work day on October 16

The City of Portola has a brand new professionally designed and built disc golf course which will open later this month at the Portola River Walk, but still needs some finishing touches on the trails that connect the holes. Sierra Buttes Trail Stewardship invites one and all to join them on Saturday, October 16 at the Portola River Walk Disc Golf Course as they work to help put Portola on the list of world class disc golf destinations.

The work day starts at 9 a.m. and is expected to last a few hours, with the goal being to help finish the brand new 18-hole disc golf course with trail building in between the holes. All necessary tools will be provided, but attendees should bring  food/snacks, water, sunscreen, closed toe shoes, work gloves and eye protection. For Riverwalk parking and work area information, please contact Tim Rhode at 209-403-3533. For further information, email Marty at [email protected] or contact Tim Rhode at the above number.
