Soroptimists to honor local women April 27; public invited

Each year Soroptimist International of Quincy’s “Local Women Making A Local Difference” awards honor one or more local women who have demonstrated significant effort to improve conditions for others through their personal, professional, and/or volunteer activities.  After a multi-year interruption from the pandemic, the Soroptimists are resuming this tradition with the 12th annual Service Awards dinner on April 27, at 5:30 pm in the Tulsa Scott Pavilion at the Plumas Sierra County Fairgrounds.

Highlights of the evening include the announcement of the 2023 Live Your Dream scholarship winner, Penny Pines honorariums, and special recognition to local women making a local difference.  This year’s honorees are Kendrah Fredricksen, Tracy Kepple, Sharell  Jaramillo, Senior Life Solutions, Kim Carroll, Quincy Provisions, Heather Robinson, Thelma Dyrr, Eldora Duniphin, Michael Oravetz and Adam Alexander.

Attendees will enjoy a delightful meal prepared by Backdoor Catering Company. Dinner is $30 per person and reservations are required by April 19.  Reservations can be made by contacting Tracy Wixted at 650-773-1935 or [email protected].
