Still time to golf; course closes after Nov. 27

Graeagle Men’s Golf Association

The Graeagle Men’s Golf Association Wednesday golf games were played in cool and slightly windy conditions. The course continues to dry out from the very heavy rains of last week. Holes number 1 and 10 are still cart path only, but on the rest of the course, carts are permitted.

There were nine players and the game of the day was low net and skins. There is usually a two or four-man team game, but because of the small number of players, a team game was not practical. The winner (again) of the low net was Burt Bellows with a net score of 70. Second place was Norm Nichols with a net score of 74, and third place went to Chuck Hein with a net score of 75. There were 8 skins awarded. Two each were won by, Bob McIlroy, Grant Mayfield and Norm Miller. One each was won by, Chuck Weidner and Norm Nichols.

The starting time for Friday was 10:30 a.m. instead of the usual time. Also, games will continue on Wednesday, Nov. 24 and Friday, Nov. 26, weather permitting, with starting times of 10:30 a.m.. The course closes for the season after Nov. 27.
