Branch Library Assistant Lori Metcalf reads “Mushroom in The Rain” during Children’s Storytime on April 9 at Chester Library, as part of an ongoing series designed to get preschool and elementary school-age children interested in books and reading. The program is held every Tuesday at the library, from 10:30 to 11:30 a.m., and includes stories and musical appreciation. The program also engages kids in movement activities. The Chester Library, located at 210 1st Ave., is open Monday through Wednesday, from 10 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. (closed between 1 and 1:30 p.m. for lunch); Thursdays, from noon to 7 p.m.; and Saturdays, from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Phone 258-2742.
