Student leaders prepare for Homecoming Week

Quincy High School’s homecoming is scheduled for Friday, Oct. 4, at Feather River College, but the trip to get them there will take them “Around the World.”

That’s the theme adopted by the high school’s student leaders for this year’s homecoming festivities.

Each class will decorate its hall based on the following destinations:

Seniors: United States

Juniors: Paris

Sophomores: Mexico

Freshmen: Boardwalk

Eighth grade: Hawaii

Seventh grade: Japan

The decorations will be judged and awards presented during homecoming festivities.

Dress-up days for the week will be as follows:

Monday: Pajama day

Tuesday: Tourist day

Wednesday: Western

Thursday: Class theme

Friday: Red and White

The annual homecoming parade will make its way through Quincy on Friday afternoon at 1 p.m. to be followed by a rally.

The evening’s crowning of the queen is scheduled before the 6 p.m. junior varsity football game. (There is no varsity football team this year.) Festivities are expected to get underway at approximately 5:15 p.m.

Student leaders meet during leadership class a couple of times a week with their advisor Nicole Yoacham.
