Trojans are undefeated

It may be early in the season so undefeated may not seem to mean much, but in the case of the Quincy Trojan volleyball team it certainly does.

Beginning Aug. 21 in a match that took place at Durham High School against another set of Trojans, the Quincy girls have been on a rampage! The QHS volleyball team has won nine games in a row. Durham, Portola, Oroville, Westwood, Antelope, North Tahoe, North Valley, Coral Academy and Oasis Academy have all fallen to the QHS girls!

The team headed to the Fall River Emblem “F” Tournament that ran through the second weekend in September, Thursday to Saturday. The girls faced new opponents in the Trinity Wolves, the Etna Lions and the Los Molinos Bulldogs.

A double-header followed with the Virginia City Muckers in Quincy on Sept. 11, and then Sept. 13, in Nevada.

The mighty Trojans host CORE Butte on the Quincy court, Tuesday, Sept. 18. Maxwell will come to QHS Thursday, Sept. 20, followed by the last in the series of home games Sept. 25 against their rivals, the Portola Tigers. All three games start at 5:30 p.m. in Quincy.
