Uninsured or underinsured can apply for FEMA assistance

Federal assistance may be available for uninsured or underinsured individuals affected by
the Dixie and River Fires in the counties of Lassen, Nevada, Placer, and Plumas. Individuals
must first seek reimbursement through insurance before they can qualify for federal


Assistance can include grants for temporary housing and home repairs, low-cost loans to

cover uninsured personal property losses, and other programs to help individuals and
business owners recover from the effects of the disaster.

The registration deadline for DR-4610-CA is Monday, Oct. 25, 2021.

Residents in DR-4610-CA declared counties who have disaster-caused damage can apply for assistance in four ways:
