Volunteer open house at High Sierra Animal Rescue on Saturday, February 4

Do you have a love for dogs and want to make a difference in your local community? If so, join in on a volunteer open house at High Sierra Animal Rescue in Portola on Saturday, February 4 at 10 a.m.

The open house will give an introduction to the various needs at High Sierra Animal Rescue (HSAR) that can be cared for by volunteers, an introduction to dog baths and grooming, laundry and folding, puzzle toy and Kong dog toy filling, as well as cleaning and organization.

“Our board member, Claudia, has been working with staff to develop a kickoff event with plans of hosting a volunteer day every first Saturday of the month. We will share these future dates on our website and our Volunteers of High Sierra Animal Rescue Facebook group,”  said organizers.

Coffee, drinks, and snacks will be provided. Volunteer applications can be filled out upon arrival or beforehand. Applications can always be found on the HSAR volunteer page. Claudia will be there to guide all of the wonderful attendees.
