Volunteers needed for Chester 4th of July Fun Run
The Almanor Recreation and Park District needs volunteers to help with the 42nd annual Chester 4th of July Fun Run. 
This short one-mile dash down Main Street just prior to the parade was a great success last year and proved easier to stage and manage thanks to the many folks who offered to help. We are looking for volunteers for this year’s event in the following areas:
Have a truck or trailer and just want to help transport gear to the start/finish? We can break this up into several tasks: A. Pick up gear at the ARPD office, transfer to the start (1 hour); B. Load gear immediately after the start and deliver to the ARPD office (1 hour); C. Ditto for the finish line, pick up and deliver (1 hour).
Day before registration at Bodfish Bicycles from 1 pm-5 pm (if you can help but only for a shorter period, we can do 2-hour shifts.)
Morning registration on July 4th – Meet at 7:30 am at the Collins Pine Lawn to help registrants, process pre-registered runners, and hand out T-shirts. Done by 9:30 am.
Finish line – Meet at 8 am at the Bidwell House to assist with refreshments and take down. Watch the runners coming down Main Street from a Bird’s Eye view! You’re done by 10 am.
