Voter forums planned for Plumas
The League of Women Voters of Plumas County will be conducting three candidate forums in the month of September leading up to the election Nov. 6
The first voter forum takes place Monday Sept. 17, on candidates for Congressional District 1, 7 p.m. to 8:30 p.m., at Graeagle Fire Hall on Highway 89 in Graeagle.
The second forum takes place Tuesday Sept. 25, on Seneca Hospital District, 7 p.m. to 8:30 p.m., at Chester Memorial Hall, 225 Gay St.
The third forum takes place Thursday, Sept. 27, on the Portola City Council race, 7 p.m. to 8:30 p.m., at Portola Memorial Hall, 449 W. Sierra St.
The League of Women Votes of Plumas County is a nonpartisan organization that encourages the informed and active participation of citizens in government. The League influences public policy through education and advocacy. For more information, call 283-0317.
