What’s new for Graeagle golf

Graeagle Men’s Golf Association

The Wednesday game for men at Graeagle Meadows Golf Course June 7 was low net plus “skins.”  Twenty-one men competed for the top honors with tight scoring results. John Grasso won the top spot with a net score of 66. Norm Nichols came in second with a net score of 68.  Ron Eaton took 3rd Place with a net score of 69.

Five skins were awarded; one each to: Paul Senft with a net 1 on hole 8, Jim Adams with a net 2 on hole 10, Jack Gilbert with a net 3 on hole 11, Don Judson with a net 2 on hole 13, and John Grasso with a net 1 on hole 16.

A two-man event was the game Friday where each player’s score must count for nine holes, and the other players score counts for the remaining nine. The weather was partly cloudy as 26 members competed, fortunately with no rain. It was one of the few days in the last two weeks where there has been no rain on the courses.

Mike Simpson and Jim Adams won First with a net score of 58. Jim had a gross score of 74 on his own ball.  2nd Place was won by the team of Mark Yuill and Chuck Hein with a net score of 62.  Dennis Flynn and Andy Knudsen took Third Place with a net score of 64. Since five teams tied with net score of 65, Fourth place was not awarded.

Four Skins were awarded: Mike Simpson with a 3 on hole 1, Chuck Hein with a 2 on hole 4, Mike Irving with a 3 on hole 5 and Grant Mayfield with a 1 on hole 12.
