Wildlife photographer in contention for Photo of the Year

Local photographer Randy Robbins has a second photo as a contender for the California Wildlife Photo of the Year.

Lassen County photographer Randy Robbins is known for taking wonderful wildlife photos and and now his photo of a mountain lion has been selected as a March/April finalist in the state competition. His photo of a Lassen Pack wolf was selected as a finalist in the January/February competition.

The three photos in this series include Mountain Lion, Diamond Mountain area, by Randy Robbins; Western Grebe and chick, Calero County Park, by Douglas Croft Images; and Allen’s Hummingbird, Santa Cruz, by Shravan Sundaram.

According to the contest’s website, “We continue to see the wonders of California through the eyes of our wildlife friends and skilled lenses of our photographer family. March and April delivered very special views.”
