The National Weather Service has issued a winter storm warning, advising that heavy snow and wind will be moving into the region tomorrow, Nov. 17, and will impact Western Plumas County/Lassen Park. Snow amounts will vary from 1 to 2 feet, with wind gusts of 60 to 80 mph over the higher elevations and peaks. Snow levels will start out around 6,00o feet on Tuesday and then lower slightly on Wednesday. The warning is in effect from 10 a.m. Tuesday, through 6 p.m. Wednesday. Downed trees and power outages are possible.
