Women take to the course at Graeagle Meadows

The game of the day for the women golfing at Graeagle Meadows Golf Course July 20 was a round of “O-N-E-S.” Scoring for the game includes only scores on holes beginning with the letters ONES count, i.e., holes 1,5,7,8, etc.  Nineteen members competed for the Thursday games and the winners were:  Flight A, Low Gross, Debbie Fuetsch, with a O-N-E-S score of 40; First Low Net, Dottie Hattich (32); Second Low Net, Renee Miller (35).  And, in Flight B:  Low Gross, Nancy Linch (51); First Low Net, Darlene Gibaut (36); and, Second Low Net, Dee Walker (37).  There were no “chip-ins” for the day.

The July Ace of Aces Qualifiers were:  Low Gross, Kris Sutton, with an 87; and, Low Net, Dottie Hattich, with a net 67.  At the end of the season, the monthly Ace of Aces Qualifiers compete in the Ace of Aces Playoff.

Sixteen members and three guests braved the heat to play a game of “5 and 4” on July 13. For this game, the player’s net scores on the first five holes on the front nine, plus first four on the back nine, count as the game score.  In Flight A, Debbie Fuetsch took Low Gross with a score of 37; and, in a “card off” for Low Net, Dottie Hattich won First, and Shelly Drake won Second Place, both with net scores of 33.   Flight B winners included:  Low Gross, Laurie Humphries (54); First Low Net, Kathy Kahler (35); and, Second Low Net, Mikie Burdick (36).  Cynthia Baldwin and Kathy Kahler each had one “chip-in”.
