Women’s two round championship ends well

Graeagle Women’s Golf Club

Sept. 1 was the first of the two-round Women’s Club Championship.  The second and final round will be played this Thursday, Sept. 8.  Twenty members braved the heat to compete for the title.  The Club Champion is the low gross winner over the two rounds.  Congratulations went to the 2022 GMWGC Club Champion Debbie Feutsch, who scored a low gross 165.  Cindy Hannah was low gross Runner-up, with a score of 176.  Renee Miller won Low Net in Flight One with a net score of 133.  In Flight Two, the winners were:  Low Gross, Cathy Churchill (207); First Low Net, Mikie Burdick (net 140); and, Second Low Net, Patty Monaghan (net 153).

Championship play was followed by a luncheon of hearty, tasty appetizers, and beverages at the Restaurant at Graeagle Meadows, with a view of the golf course, mountains and deer wandering past on the driving range below.

Graeagle Men’s Golf Association

GMAC held their annual Club Championship Tournament Sept. 9 and 11.  The overall Club Champion, playing from the White Tees, is Mario Garibotti with gross scores of 78 and 81 for 159.

Also playing from the White Tees, the Senior Division Net winners was a tie between Gene Carr with net scores of 76 and 67 for 143, and Mark Yuill with net scores of 70 and 73 for 143.  In Third Place was Corey Fanti with net scores of 79 and 65 for a total of 144.

In the Super Senior Division, playing from the White/Red Combo Tees, Bryan Hansen won First Place with net scores of 62 and 60 for 122.  Second Place went to David Macdonald with net scores of 70 and 65 for a 135 total.  In Third Place was Jeff Monaghan with net scores of 71 and 65 totaling 136.  And Fourth Place went to Grant Mayfield with net scores of 75 and 64 for a total of 139.
