Wrestlers kept working through winter break

“Our Quincy Trojans went to the Cody Louk Invitational Wrestling Tournament on Dec. 20 and 21, hammering hard again in Nevada,” said QHS assistant wrestling coach Russell Nickerson, Sr. “We ended the weekend very strong with three of the seven wrestlers placing.”

Russell Nickerson Jr. took first place at 126 pounds and Devin Vert earned sixth in the same category. Kody King won sixth place at 160 pounds.

On Dec. 27 and 28, the Trojan wrestlers competed in Reno in the 2019 Sierra Nevada Classic at the Reno Livestock Event Center.
