Autumn Afternoon on the Farm
October 9, 2021 @ 11:00 am - 2:00 pm
Rugged Roots Farm invites you to an Autumn afternoon on the farm. There will be U-pick pumpkins, hands-on activities for kids, and fall goodies to benefit non-profit Lost Sierra Food Project.
Entrance is free, and the event runs Saturday October 9th from 11am – 2pm at Rugged Roots Farm, on Hwy 70 across from Gansner Airfield in Quincy.
Activities include a photo booth, block prints to take home, face painting, and DIY prayer flags. There will also be a farm stand selling all remaining produce from the farm, including winter squash and gourds, along with strings of strawflowers and cayenne peppers to keep you warm all winter.
Pick pumpkins from Rugged Roots Farm’s beautiful pumpkin patch and get ready to carve, bake, and decorate for Halloween.
“We’ll have tasty treats and hot drinks for sale to keep everyone happy,” said co-director Jessie Mazar. “This event is a key fundraiser for us, so we appreciate the support. We can’t wait to see you there!”
LSFP’s mission is to increase access to local foods, prioritizing low-income populations, to provide workforce development programs, and to create education food and farming opportunities.
