Bus service resumes to Crescent Mills
As of 7 a.m. Aug. 17, Plumas Transit service to Indian Valley is back up and running. The first stop in the route is now in Crescent Mills at Carter Street (in front of Crescent Country) for the time being. Hwy 89 remains closed to through traffic at Pioneer Road. The last bus back to Crescent Mills from Quincy drops at 5:58 p.m.
Bus rides from mandatory evacuation areas are allowed to ride for free. Riders can show identification to the bus driver and a free bus pass will be issued to the rider. Free passes are also available at Plumas Transit Systems office located at 711 E. Main Street in Quincy. For more information riders can call (530) 283-2538.
