Mark your calendars and plan to attend one of the best collections and exhibitions of visual arts and fine crafts in several counties. The 51st annual Almanor Art Show takes place June 25 and 26 on the beautiful Collins Pine Lawn on Highway 36 in Chester. This is Plumas County’s most tenured art show, providing 50 artists this year offering their paintings, drawings, photographs, jewelry, pottery, sculptures, wood work, metal work, beauty products, fabric and whimsical art and more in a full range of prices.
The location on the cool, green Collins Pine Lawn and the surroundings of Lake Almanor in Chester, offer a beautiful setting to enjoy and explore the fine art and crafts. There will be artisan food vendors and food trucks at the event so plan to get a snack or meal while you shop. Hank and Shaidri Alrich and friends will be performing original and traditional music throughout the weekend.
Show hours are 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Saturday the 25th and 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Sunday the 26th. Admission to the event is free allowing allowing attendees to save their dollars to support the artisans that put their heart and souls on the line to create something original and hand crafted.
Plumas Arts has coordinated the Almanor Arts Show since 1983. Event proceeds support art education programs throughout Plumas County.
