Almanor Basin Water Trails Map available now

Whether you’re looking to go kayaking, fishing, waterskiing or just want a refreshing swim, Lake Almanor, the jewel of the Cascade and Sierra mountains, offers ample opportunity for every water sport under the sun.
There are also plenty of family-friendly places in Plumas County — and particularly in and around the town of Chester — for such activities as hiking through lush forests, biking around the lake, extended camping or just enjoying a relaxing day on the shore bird watching or having a family picnic. There are seemingly endless sightseeing opportunities, including such wonders as Mt. Lassen, Butt Lake, Humbug Valley, the Mountain Meadows area near the town of Westwood and much more.
The Almanor Basin Water Trails Map is specifically designed to highlight Lake Almanor’s 34 miles of shoreline where locals and tourists alike can save time and energy when planning their recreational activities.
In addition to designating shoreline access to the lake, boat launching sites, camping supply stores, marinas and resorts, campgrounds, fishing spots, plus walking, biking and hiking trails around the lake, the unique water map also lists grocery stores, restaurants, coffee shops, pizza parlors, pubs, gas stations, lodging, RV parks, picnic areas and more.
The first edition of the Water Trails Map is available to purchase for $10 at several outlets in the town of Chester and the Lake Almanor Basin Area.
