The 2023 Grebe Festival is scheduled for Saturday and Sunday, Aug. 5-6 at the Olsen Barn Meadow in Chester. Join Plumas Audubon Society and other partner organizations to celebrate these aquatic diving birds. There will be a presentation about grebes, birding tours, kayak and pontoon boat tours on Lake Almanor, kids activities, a silent auction, and more. This is a free event open to all ages, though there are fees for some tours. Visit plumasaudubon.org/grebe-festival for a schedule of tours and to register (limited space).
