Another AED placed in downtown Quincy
The Plumas HeartSAFE community partnered with Riccardo Jacobus, owner of The Drunk Brush Wine Bar, to place a publicly accessible Automated External Defibrillator (AED) in his business. The Drunk Brush is a popular gathering place and is ideal for placement of an AED.
Bystander CPR and the use of an AED can improve survival of cardiac arrest by 30 percent and is a vital part of the HeartSAFE Community efforts.
Between the Almanor Basin, Indian Valley, Quincy, Graeagle, and Portola there are 75 publicly accessible AEDs. Individuals can download the “Pulsepoint AED” app for their smartphones and it will show them the locations of all of the AEDs
