Aug. 30: Plumas Public Health announces 34 new cases

The Plumas County Public Health Agency announced this evening, Aug. 30, that there are 34 new cases to report. The health agency is posting positive test results twice a week — on Mondays and Thursdays. On Thursday, Aug. 26, (the last reporting day) 54 cases were reported.

Plumas Unified School District announced today that it had one positive test associated with Portola Junior Senior High School.

The cases reported today are as follows:

Thirteen cases for the Southern Region (Quincy/Meadow Valley): Eleven confirmed on Aug. 27; and two confirmed today, Aug. 30.

Eight cases for the Eastern Region (Graeagle/Portola): Four confirmed on Aug. 27; and four confirmed today, Aug. 30.

One case for the Northern Region (Greenville/Indian Valley): Confirmed today Aug. 30.

Twelve cases for the Western Region (Chester/Lake Almanor): Eleven confirmed on Aug. 27;  and one confirmed today, Aug. 30.

The total confirmed number of coronavirus cases in the county to date is 1,017.
