Betty Marie Parker was born July 24, 1934, in Big Cabin, Oklahoma. She attended Shafter elementary and high schools.

She lived in Portola from Nov. 20, 1967, until she passed away on Nov. 22, 2021. She was a member of New Life Christian Center.

Betty is survived by daughters Charlene (Mike) Sanchez and Patricia (Jim) Berg; stepdaughter Dee (Jack) Tatum; grandchildren Mike (Sonya) Sanchez, Joe (Bev) Sanchez, Phil (Amber) Sanchez, Dana (Kent) Hanford, Bjorn (Ashley) Berg, Vernon (Stacy) Parker, Candence (Jim) Brown, Michael Parker, Nikki Parker; great-grandchildren Ysenia, Marissa, Jose, Anissa, Mya, Avery, Ty Sanchez, Robert and Alise Keppel, Bode Hanford, Dillion Parker, Brooklyn Brown, Magnus Berg, Alison Berg, Aubrey Berg and Axl Berg, and numerous nephews and nieces.

She was preceded in death by her husband Vernon Parker; stepsons Dennis and Gary Parker; and great-grandson Nic Brown; father Roy Howard, mother Georgia Howard, siblings Virginia Ehret, Rob, Herb and John Howard and Barbara McCoy.

A Celebration of Life will be held Sunday, Nov. 28, 1 p.m., at Portola New Life Christian Center.
