Book fair open to the public

Coincides with the Tiger Classic

Portola High School will be hosting a Community Book Fair open to everyone Dec. 11-14 in the PHS library.

The Book Fair, sponsored by Scholastic Books, will have reasonably priced books ranging from preschool to adult bestseller, and all levels in between. Proceeds will benefit new books for the PHS library.

The Book Fair has been scheduled to coincide with the popular Tiger Classic Basketball Tournament, which runs Thursday through Saturday in the PHS gym. The basketball tournament is a community favorite, and Book Fair organizers hope that having the Book Fair at the same time will encourage community attendance at both of these events where families can pair shopping for books with watching great basketball. Plus, it’s just in time for holiday shopping!

The Book Fair hours listed here are subject to change depending on weather conditions, but the website will be kept accurate.

Dec. 11: 8 a.m. – 3 p.m.

Dec. 12: 8 a.m. – 5:30 p.m.

Dec. 13: 8 a.m. – 7:30 p.m.

Dec. 14: noon – 7:30 p.m.

Cash, check and credit cards are accepted.
