Folks will now find Feather River Properties in their new location in Greenville at 116 Crescent Street, formerly occupied by In the Woods (Highway 89 directly across from his prior location). Owner/broker Tom Rogers says the move gives him lots more room to conduct business for this 40-year-old real estate company that he has owned for the past 13 years.
BLAIRSDEN RESTAURANT REOPENS
Chris Simone and Randi Collier have reopened the Grizzly Grill. You’ll find the restaurant open Friday through Monday, bar opens at 4 p.m. with dinner beginning at 5 p.m. It was just a year ago in December that Chris and Randi purchased the iconic dinner house located in Blairsden.
OPEN HOUSE CANCELLED
Last week we reported on the open house at Indian Valley Medical Clinic in Greenville planned for tomorrow, Thursday, Feb. 16. Unfortunately, because of weather related issues, it has been cancelled. The rescheduled date will be announced at a later time.
NUTRITIONAL WORKSHOP REMINDER
“Small Steps to a Healthier You” is the title of the healthy eating, staying active workshop set for next Wednesday, Feb. 22, from 5:30 to 6:30 p.m., at Feather River Fitness in Quincy. Nina Harris, a registered dietician with a master’s degree in public health, will be discussing why what you eat is the foundation of better health and fitness. You will learn nutritional facts and principals of optimal health at this free workshop, which will include time for health questions, a cooking demonstration, recipes and light dinner.

The Wigwam Room at the Nakoma Resort welcomes back one of Reno’s most popular young musicians, Tyler Stafford. He’ll be performing Friday, Feb. 17, from 5 p.m. Dinner menu available from 5 – 8 p.m., no cover, reservations appreciated. The 30-year-old has played some of the biggest stages that Reno has to offer and has cultivated a loyal following that can’t get enough of his dynamic performances. His songs often draw comparisons to songwriters such as John Mayer and Paul Simon delivered with a candor and immediacy reminiscent of John Lennon.

Just a year ago, Meagan Brennan opened Eternity Hair and Nails at 175 Lawrence Street (next to the USFS complex) in Quincy. She offers body waxing, haircuts, does styling and coloring, along with manicures and spa pedicures. During the year she has also added a line of jewelry, hats, scarves and other accessories. And just recently Oceanna McDevitt opened a massage studio there as well.
