Caltrans urges motorists to avoid travel; shares snow predictions for Plumas locations
Caltrans is warning motorists of dangerous travel conditions due to periods of moderate to heavy mountain snow that is expected through Wednesday morning, Nov. 9.
Snow levels will be between 3,500 and 4,000 feet tonight, Nov. 7, rising to 4,000 to 4,500 feet Tuesday morning and then falling again to 3,000 to 3,500 feet Tuesday evening. The heaviest snow is expected at 4,000 feet.
Caltrans is urging the public to avoid traveling if possible.
