Canyon reopens from Jarbo Gap to the Greenville Wye
Caltrans announced this evening, Jan. 10, that Highway 70 is now open to both eastbound and westbound traffic between Jarbo Gap and the Greenville Wye. The opening came earlier than expected. Caltrans had predicted that the slide near the Butte/Plumas County line would be cleared and stabilized later this week.
For now the roadway is open, though motorists are told to expect delays.
