Celebrate the season at Words & Music with Soulstice Stringe this Thursday

Plumas Arts is pleased to feature Soulstice Strings at Patti’s Thunder Café for Words & Music on Thursday, Dec. 8 starting promptly at 7 p.m. Soulstice Strings has been a favorite performance at December Words & Music the past several years. Come enjoy a cozy evening with lovely music and community.

Soulstice Strings is a reunion of a String Quartet originally named the String Beings formed when members Holly Sternberg, Kelsey Kepple, and Chris Retallack were 5th and 6th graders at Quincy Elementary School.  At the time, they were playing in Face the Music Studio’s Elementary String Orchestra named Pulling Strings.

The Quartet is now comprised of members Holly Sternberg, Chris Retallack, Johnene McDonald and Tor Murphy on Viola. The program will be very eclectic with the group performing a variety of music from modern to classics to Celtic fiddling. There will definitely be a few Holiday songs too.

“Sousltice Strings will amaze you with their talent! This is always a beautiful and uplifting Words & Music,” said Plumas Arts Executive Director Kara Rockett-Arsenault. “Join us and bring an instrument or come with a spoken word performance for open mic following the featured artists, Soulstice Strings.”

Patti’s Thunder Café will offer delicious baked goods, coffee, tea, and specialty drinks, wine, and beer for additional purchase. Patti’s is located at 557 Lawrence St Quincy, CA and has been the gracious and amazing host of Words & Music for several decades.
