Chester Ice Rink is now open
The Chester Ice Rink opened at 4 p.m. Friday, Dec. 2 and by 5 p.m. the folks from the Almanor Basin showed up. The park’s Little League parking lot is cleared and an extra wide walkway to the rink is plowed for anticipated traffic. Walk right up, pay your $5, rent your skates (if you don’t have your own, get out there and show your skills. Warming heaters are conveniently placed and there are adult beverages available for that extra warm-up.
The rink is scheduled to be open Fridays from 4 to 8 p.m. and Saturdays and Sundays from noon to 4 p.m. A 45-minute session costs $5.
