Closures in Eastern Plumas due to covid-19

The Mohawk Community Resource Center, 836-0446, in Graeagle is temporarily closed as of March 19 due to virus concerns until further notice. This includes all classes, meetings, senior lunches, and the like.

The annual fund-raising Spaghetti Dinner has been postponed until the fall. Organizers ask that those who have already bought a ticket hold on to it.

MCRC also asks that locals consider calling or emailing the Plumas County Board of Supervisors to include the rent and utility expenses paid by Plumas County for the facility in the Plumas County Budget under the function Recreation/Cultural Services.

The Hub Community Fitness Center, 832-5599, in Portola will be locking the doors and shutting keys off for the next two weeks beginning March 20. All active memberships as of now are placed on hold for the time being and will be set to resume when all is cleared. The Hub thanks the community for the constant support.

Daw’s Recycling Center, 832-5404, in Portola will be servicing Portola on Friday, March 20, from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m., before closing operations for two weeks due to the coronavirus.

The Lost Sierra Chamber of Commerce and Visitor’s Center, 836-6811, in Graeagle will be closed to the public for the foreseeable future due to the coronavirus. Staff members will still be available via email at [email protected] Staff will also check voicemail and the mailbox as needed.
