Common Good Foundation accepting grant applications

Is your organization in need of funding for a special project, equipment, supplies, or? If so, the Common Good Community Foundation is extending an invitation to local nonprofits to submit grant applications during the month of November. In order to apply, an organization must be established in Plumas County, have nonproft status and a valid Federal Tax ID number.

All applications must be postmarked by Nov. 30 and priority will be given to first-time applicants. The only other restriction is that an organization will only be funded once in a two year period.

Grants are limited to $1,500 and organizations may or may not receive the full amount requested based on the actual amount available for funding and the number of applications received. Awards will be announced in late December.

Since its inception in 2012, the goal of the Common Good Foundation has been to fund local nonprofits throughout Plumas County. To date, the foundation has distributed just shy of $450,000 in Plumas County in the form of grants and outright donations. $235,000 of this amount was used to support individuals, families and communities impacted by the Dixie Fire.

To apply for a grant, visit commongoodplumas.org for guidelines and the application form. Email [email protected] with questions or inquiries.
