COVID numbers in Plumas continue to drop

The Plumas County Public Health Agency released its latest numbers March 10, indicating eight positive cases were reported to the agency during the past seven days.

There are currently 12 people in isolation and no individuals are hospitalized. The test positivity rate is just 1.8 percent.

Numbers have dropped off dramatically in the local schools as well. Feather River College reported just two cases this week – both attributed to employees. Plumas Unified reported zero cases.

Both Plumas Unified and Plumas Charter School will follow state guidelines and make masks optional in the classroom beginning Monday. While the state recommends their usage, they are no longer mandatory.
