Wendy Yates embraces the moment with her young students June 15 at performance end.

Dance troupe and friends put on a good show

Rhythm & Grace Dance Studio partnered with Kristina’s Gymnastics, dramaworks and Quincy Star Follies to put on a great show for a full house June 15. The crowd gathered for the combination event that included the Sweetheart of the Mountains Scholarship Competition at Plumas-Sierra County Fairgrounds.

Wendy Yates, Rhythm & Grace Dance Studio owner, presented her students along with dance teachers Ramona Eaglesmith, Miko Fogarty and Sara Taylor-Mays.

With the inclusion of dramaworks, Quincy Star Follies and Kristina’s Gymnastics, the performances touched a wide range of bases, with excerpts from “Lion King, Jr.,” Quincy Star Follies segments, ballet, tap, jazz and hip hop numbers.
