Dinner in the Park to raise funds for PESPA

The Plumas Eureka State Park Association welcomes one and all to Dinner in the Park, featuring a wine tasting hosted by Twisted Vine by Cuccias on Thursday, Aug. 15, at 5 p.m.

The event is the only fundraiser that PESPA holds to support the all-volunteer association in their work to provide services and activities to the public, such as the recent Gold Discovery Days family event.

Area merchants will be donating items for silent and live auctions during the tasting. The Porta-Saloon will be in place for no-host beer, and the Twisted Vine will also be featuring $15 for five wine tastings.

Tom Flynn, portrayed by Dick Short, will be present in historic garb as an Irish miner, bringing stories and history to life in a first-person Chautauqua performance under the canopy of the Plumas Eureka State Park.

Tickets for the event are $60 per person and are available at the Plumas Eureka State Park Museum Store, Queen Bee, Eco Centric and Feathers in Downtown Graeagle. For more information, contact Nancy at 927-9748.
