Dinner tickets available now for Chester Community Chorus

The nonprofit Chester Community Chorus is holding its annual dinner fundraiser at the Lake Almanor Elks Lodge on Saturday, Sept. 21, at 6 p.m., with social hour beginning at 5 p.m. Tickets are now on sale for $20 per person at Lassen Gifts in Chester.

The monies raised at the dinner help fund the Chester Community Chorus’ free concert events for the enjoyment of the Lake Almanor area community for over 30 years under the direction of Jane Brown, who also conducts the Reno Pops Orchestra.

The chorus will be singing a selection of popular early and contemporary traditional songs and carols at the dinner, including “Bell Carol of the Kings,” “Christmas Comes Anew,” “I’ll Be Home for Christmas,” “Mary Did You Know,” “It Was the Night Before Christmas” and many more.

The Chorus members have also begun rehearsals for the upcoming Christmas season with concerts scheduled for Friday evening, Dec. 6, and Saturday matinee, Dec. 7. Times to be announced.

New singers are always welcome to join the chorus!
