Dixie Fire closes portion of Pacific Crest Trail
The Plumas National Forest has announced that due to the Dixie Fire, the Pacific Crest Trail is now CLOSED at Highway 70 north of Belden. Northbound hikers should re-route from Bucks Summit or Belden around to Highway 36 (mile 1331). Southbound hikers should take the Humboldt Road south of Hwy 36 down to Hwy 89.
The Dixie Fire is burning southwest of the PCT in the Feather River Canyon.
