Dog agility classes offered

Central Plumas Recreation District and Harmony Ridge Pet Parade announce their latest dog obedience and agility classes.

The dog obedience class will teach basic commands such as heel, sit, down, come, stay, watch and touch.

The agility classes will teach dogs and handlers tunnels, jumps, table, weave poles, tire, dog walk and A Frame. Agility participants should have dogs that understand basic obedience commands. No reactive dogs are allowed in either class.

The basic dog obedience class will start Tuesday, Sept. 17, and runs for six consecutive weeks. The obedience class will be held at Gansner Park on Tuesdays, from 6 p.m. to dusk.

The dog agility classes will start Saturday, Sept. 14, and run for six weeks. Agility Classes will be held Saturdays at Lowell Bader Park in Meadow Valley. Classes will be held from 10 to 11:30 a.m.
