Each year, High Sierra Animal Rescue (HSAR) participates in a magical tradition called Giving Tuesday.
This day of unity and compassion is the most important fundraising day of the year for nonprofits across the world. Giving Tuesday was created in 2012 as a simple idea: a day that encourages people to do good. Since then, it has grown into a year-round global movement that inspires hundreds of millions of people to give, collaborate, and celebrate generosity.
This November 30, High Sierra Animal Rescue hopes that you will join them in raising $10,000 for the dogs they so love- for the ones who have been abused, neglected, left behind and now have a chance at true happiness.
The mission of the nonprofit started over 20 years ago when a few people who cared a whole lot came together and sparked a lasting and worthwhile movement in Plumas and Lassen counties.
“Thousands of animals have been granted a second chance with the help of an entire community. We wouldn’t be where we are today without the kindness and generosity of our supporters,” said HSAR Marketing and Fundraising Manager Abigail Birnbryer. “Let’s save more dogs and make this our greatest Giving Tuesday yet!”
