Eastern Plumas Angel program is gearing for Christmas
The Eastern Plumas Angel Program is gearing up for the holiday gift-distribution this Christmas. Pink and blue angels, with ages on them, will be placed on trees and wreaths at Plumas Bank, Sierra Energy, Leonard’s Market, Mohawk Community Resource Center, Graeagle Millworks and the Graeagle Store.
Community members are asked to take an angel off the trees and buy a gift for that boy or girl and then take that new, unwrapped gift to Plumas Bank and to Plumas Sierra Rural Electric Cooperative. Members of the Eastern Plumas Angel Program will pick up the gifts and collate them into family packages for the children. Children ages 0 – 15 are served under this program.
All families are screened for eligibility. Families must sign up for gifts with the Portola Family Resource Center located at 164 Ridge St., (530) 832-1827. Gifts will be distributed on Dec. 17 and 18.
