Eastern Plumas Safe Halloween

Lions and tigers and skunks, oh my! These were just a few of the critters that came out to Trick or Treat at Eastern Plumas Rural Fire Department’s Safe Halloween event Thursday, Oct. 31. Chief Bob Frank wanted to continue the tradition of hosting this bewitching event at the Northside Station. Chief Frank remarked, “After all, it is about the kids isn’t it?” The costumes ranged from a sweet little skunk, to princesses, sharks, villains, horses and everything else to make the event priceless. Sparky was on hand in costume as “Super Sparky.” Next year, Captain Elaine Frank plans to add a costume contest and more, but this year’s event had a great turnout with over 1,500 pieces of candy gobbled up by roving trick or treaters. Eastern Plumas Rural Fire would like to thank everyone that stopped by. Photo by Elaine Frank
