Enjoy a social summer evening on Friday, June 17, with refreshments, live music. and great company at the Soroptimist Solstice Garden Stroll fundraiser in Quincy. Tickets on sale now at Plumas Arts, Quincy Provisions, and Plumas Bank-Quincy.
Wine and Gardens Event
Help support scholarships, local events and community needs by joining the Soroptimist of Quincy International this Friday, June 17, for the Solstice Garden Stroll. Tickets are $50 and include nine tastes, two pours of a wine of your choosing and three garden homes with unique appetizers and dessert. The event runs from 4:30 to 8 p.m. Live music will be featured. Attendees may purchase extra pours of beer or wine at any location.
Johnny and Hannah Mansell’s garden
This garden features music by Tommy Miles and The Back 40.
The menu is “Barbecue” and includes:
–Barbecued sausage wedges
–Zucchini and corn fritters with Chipotle cream
–Perfect peanut butter cookies
Bill and Sue Wickman’s garden
Jeff Kepple will provide the music.
The menu is “Southwestern” and includes:
–Gazpacho with shrimp and lime
–Chicken tostadas with avocado salsa and crema
–Spiced fudge wafers with Grand Marnier cream
Dwight and Karen Pierson’s garden
Gordon Keller and Linda Margaretic will perform along with Kelsey Kepple and “The Forget Me Not”.
The menu is “Vegetarian” and includes:
–Cheesy polenta triangles with mascarpone and marina sauce
–Carrot and cranberry salad
–Fresh strawberries and strawberry pound cake skewer with a chocolate drizzle
