Ernest Lee Jones

On Thursday, October 7 at 12:45 p.m., Ernest Lee Jones, loving husband, son, stepfather, brother and friend went home to be with his Lord at the age of 56.

Ernie was born on November 23, 1964 in Santa Clara, Ca. to James Willard and Gail Elaine Justice Jones.

Ernie started working at the age of 13 as a service station attendant in Santa Maria, Ca. He worked from then on until he took up towing “which he loved.” He met and married Rebecca Lee and they went from Fresno, to Doyle, to Portola. They purchased Ron’s Towing and lived in Portola for 20 years before moving to Vinton. Ernie and Rebecca were married for 32 years. Ernie was known all over as a kind, generous and loving spirit.

Ernie was preceded in death by his father, James W. and his sister Theresa LeAnn.

Ernie is survived by his loving wife Rebecca, stepson Michael, stepdaughter Jessica, mother Gail, stepfather Dan, brother James, sister Kristy and many other family members and friends.

A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, November 6, 2021 at 2:30 p.m. at New Life Christian Center, 72690 Hwy. 70, Portola, Ca. 96122.
