Evacuation warnings go into effect for Lake Almanor Peninsula
In addition to the mandatory evacuations ordered for the Highway 89 corridor between Canyon Dam and Highway 36, which includes the West Shore of Lake Almanor, new warnings went into effect.
Evacuation warnings are in place for residents on the Peninsula and Hamilton Branch, and includes North Shore of the Country Club and Bailey Creek. The Sheriff asks that you make plans to evacuate and, if you have special needs, evacuate now.
There is an evacuation center at the Chester Memorial Hall at 180 Gay St. in Chester
