Fair parade winners announced
Submitted by Quincy Chamber
Although Saturday, July 30th, was brutally hot, that didn’t stop hundreds of folks from coming on down to enjoy the long-anticipated 75th annual Plumas-Sierra County Fair Parade in downtown Quincy!
The event went very smoothly, with a huge shout-out to Quincy Tow for coming to the rescue of one of our classic car entries. We had a fantastic variety of entries this year and we hope you all enjoyed it as much as we did.
We’d like to thank all the volunteers who really helped make this event happen: Susan Scarlett and Kaela Zigas for running the staging booth on Linda Avenue, John Kolb, Buzz and Carla McCann and Cindy Leland for traffic control in the staging area, Judges Kris and Butch Miravalle, Freddy and Sara Holman, Michele Cruz, “Judge Judy” Leland, Robin Wight, Martee Graham, Denise Pyper, Kat Culhane, Greg Walsh and Alex Westerberg, Communications Manager Ronnie Fitzpatrick, Photographer Lisa Kelly and Event Coordinator Cheryl Kolb.
And now on to what we all really want to know…who won?
