Fiber artist’s work on display at Plumas Arts

Plumas Arts will be featuring the work of Susanville artist Eileen Searcy throughout March. Eileen is a self-taught fiber artist who seeks to convey a world of texture and depth in a two-dimensional medium. The characteristics of textiles, thread, pigment and wax allow her to completely express herself. Her inspirations are the vistas and the volcanic legacy of the terrain near her home in Susanville, as well as her travel experiences.

In addition to being part of the Blue Goose Gallery of Artists (a cooperative gallery in Chester), Eileen has exhibited in museums and galleries around California through Studio Art Quilt Associates, including the San Jose Museum of Quilts and Textiles, the Olive Hyde Gallery, the Carnegie Arts Center, the Gallery at 48 Natoma, the Grace Hudson Museum, the La Quinta Museum and the California Heritage Museum.

The Plumas Arts Gallery and office hours are Wednesday thru Friday, from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m.
