Fire fundraiser’s winners named

A packed crowd was on hand at the Quincy Volunteer Fire Department’s annual reception as Cobey Brown announced the winners of its 50/50 cash giveaway. The $5,000 cash grand prize went to David Whitaker. Clayton and Lisa Beck won $3,000. April Lazzarino won $2,000, and Grant and Cindy Edwards pocketed $1,000. The three $500 winners were Roger Caballero, Ali and Morgan MacLean, and Sneakers Cassou, the department’s beloved mascot and Fire Chief Robbie Cassou’s beloved dog. This is a fire department fundraiser with just 250 tickets at $100 each, splitting the $25,000 with seven lucky winners.
