Flash flood warning in North Complex burn areas

The National Weather Service has issued a Flash Flood Watch for the portions of the Claremont-Bear Fire in the North Complex burn scar from today, Nov. 17 through Nov. 18. Periods of heavy rainfall are forecast which may lead to flash flooding and ash flows. The period of heaviest rainfall will be Tuesday afternoon through Tuesday evening.

Within the closure area, Forest Service trails, roads, and campgrounds are closed. New hazards from the Flash Flood Watch may trigger landslides and ash flow that could lead to serious injury or death to persons within the closure area.
