Forest Service begins pile burning south of Taylorsville
The Plumas National Forest reports that the Mt. Hough Ranger District plans to begin burning piles south of Taylorsville, in the Iron Dyke Mine area today, Feb. 8. Ignition could last for one to three days and smoke production is likely for two to four days after ignition. Winds are forecast to remain easterly to northeasterly through Sunday morning which should keep smoke impacts to a minimum in Indian Valley.
