Foxxmo qualifies for AKC national agility championships in Georgia
Harmony Ridge Pet Parade announced another fabulous year of agility with her four pack of Australian shepherds. The family finished off the year with 31 qualifications at the TRACS Agility Trial held at the Rancho Murieta Equestrian Center on Dec. 27-30.
The most prestigious accomplishment of the year however is Foxxmo qualifying for the AKC National Agility Championships for the third year in a row.
The team competed in this event in Reno in 2018 placing 12th, then in Tulsa, Oklahoma, in 2019, and now is hoping to compete once again in Perry, Georgia, on March 27-29.
Due to the distance to the championships, Harmony Ridge Pet Parade’s Johnene McDonald is launching a sponsorship fund to help send Team Foxxmo to the Nationals. She has already posted a GoFundMe account on her Facebook page.
In addition, McDonald will present a concert, “A Musical Journey from California to Georgia,” as a fundraiser with proceeds going to both Friends of Plumas County Animals, and the Send Team Foxxmo to Georgia fund.
The benefit concert will be held in a February and will feature Americana music and state songs performed by a few very talented teenage students, the Soulstice String Quartet, the Reel Pulling Strings and the High Sierra Community Orchestra.
McDonald says, “Stay ‘tuned’ for more information on the concert and how to become a sponsor to support this team in another prestigious and historic adventure of their lives. Foxxmo is 8 1/2 years old now and this could possibly be their last opportunity at qualifying for the AKC Nationals.”
